Students will learn the basic tools and skills needed to repair their own clothes, such as how to assemble a mending kit, how to fix a tear, sew on a patch, and stitch a button. We will also discuss the merits of more advanced mending techniques such as darning and sashiko, but our practical skills will focus on the basics.
